Antique Silver Plated Cutlery Canteen in Fitted Oak Case

This elegant antique cutlery set is housed in its original solid oak presentation canteen, lined with soft grey felt and fitted with labeled sections for each utensil. The set appears to date from the late Victorian to early 20th century (circa 1890–1920), a period when table service was highly formalized and sets were made to impress both at the table and in storage.

The cutlery features cream ivorine (celluloid/early plastic) handles—a popular, refined alternative to real ivory—and silver plated (EPNS) blades and tines. The carving set and serving implements show classic Edwardian styling, with rounded handles and polished metal fittings.
