A hand-coloured aquatint engraving titled “View of Greenwich and Down the River”, after a drawing by Joseph Farington and engraved by Joseph Constantine Stadler, published in London by J. & J. Boydell on June 1, 1793 as part of A History of the River Thames.

The composition captures a sweeping, elevated view of Greenwich, with the River Thames stretching calmly into the distance. Architectural landmarks—most notably the domed structures of the Royal Naval Hospital—anchor the skyline, while church spires, clustered townhouses, and softly rendered foliage create a layered, atmospheric foreground.
