This classic vintage covered butter dish was made by Mason’s of England in the well-known Vista pattern, produced during the early to mid-20th century (circa 1920s–1940s). Crafted from durable patent ironstone, it features a richly detailed red transferware pastoral scene framed by ornate floral and foliate borders, a hallmark of the Vista design.
The rectangular base is paired with a matching fitted cover topped with an integrated handle, combining practicality with timeless English charm. The warm ivory ground and bold red transfer make this piece equally suited for everyday display or as part of a curated ironstone collection.
The underside bears the original red Mason’s Patent Ironstone China – Vista – England backstamp, noting guaranteed permanent, acid-resisting colours.
